SHORT BIOGRAPHY
I painted with my mother as a child scenes in water colours (German: Deckfarben). During my boarding school years in Lebanon and Switzerland I kept up with this activity.
During and after my thesis at the University of Zurich, where I passed my Diploma in Biochemistry, I kept my painting activity as a hobby and painted a number of pictures and got to know some artists. This influenced my painting and I changed my methods from water colour to oil crayons with a strong impact on my themes clearly influenced through my travels to Asia.
I visited a course on creative painting but remained in my painting realms.
Of course, there were many other different courses which I visited, such as management, accounting, bank internal courses etc. I received my Certificate in Business Administration (ABE, London) and during my time at Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) I passed several AICPCU courses. I have worked for quite some time in a bank. The firms where I worked I will not mention here in this short biography.
I painted in my spare time at my studio (atelier) at the Trittligasse 20, Zurich during my work life at the bank in oil crayons a lot. Sadly, I do not have this studio anymore. Thereafter the methods of painting changed from colour pencil (as in the children books) to acryl and back to water colour.
At the beginning a lot of scenery and houses were painted, then landscapes became a major subject and in the last few years people themselves have become an interesting element. The fruits and vegetables were during the years 2009 & 2010 a very pronounced subject because they showed how my technique and my natural environment had and has changed. How I wave with my brushes around and how my environment acknowledges it and returns my waves back!
